This week we continue our series with step four which is self-care. Nourish your body, mind, and spirit; set clear boundaries and be your own best friend and advocate. Wow, this is a hard one sometimes. We take care of others but don’t always take the time to take care of ourselves. Your body needs lots of water, exercise, and whole foods to operate at its best. Your mind and soul need proper nourishment too! Reading books or listening to audio programs to enrich your life. Standing up for what you want and need. Not allowing others to cross those lines that you set. Fighting as fiercely for yourself as you do others. Self-care isn’t selfish.
Something to Think About
When you feel good, you can be stronger for those who need you. They don’t always know when you are depleted, but you know. Those who care about you want you to take care of you. When you do, you also set an amazing example for those around you to practice self-care as well.
